GUIDE

How to add a Book button to your Google listing

SHORT ANSWER

There are two ways to let customers book from your Google Business Profile. You can add an appointment or booking link in your profile that opens your own booking page, or, where your category and region are eligible, connect a supported booking provider so a Book button appears on your listing. Either way, the booking has to land somewhere your team sees right away.

Option 1: add a booking link

  1. Sign in to your Google Business Profile.
  2. Edit your profile and find the contact or booking section.
  3. Add the link to your booking or request page.
  4. Save, then check your listing on a phone to see the button.

Option 2: connect a booking provider

Google works with a set of booking providers (this is often called Reserve with Google). If your business uses a supported provider and your category is eligible, you can connect it from the bookings section of your profile. Availability depends on your business type and country.

What home service businesses should check

  • Booking should feel like a request, not a firm time, if you need to see the job first.
  • Ask for the address and a short description so you can price or plan.
  • Make sure every booking reaches your team right away by text and email.
  • Confirm each booking quickly. A request with no reply is worse than no button.

Is it worth it?

For cleaning, pest control, lawn care and maintenance visits, often yes: these jobs are easy to book. For big quotes like roofs or installs, a request form that books an estimate visit usually works better.

Questions owners ask

Why don't I see a Book button option?

Not every business category or region is eligible for the integrated booking button. You can still add a booking link to your profile.

Does a Book button help me rank?

Google does not say it does. It makes it easier for people who already found you to take the next step.
